CATAMARAN CHARTERS
Private Catamaran Charters in Sint Maarten
The most popular charter type in SXM for a reason. Stable, spacious, and shallow enough to reach reefs and anchorages that other boats cannot. From $1,800 per day for the full boat.
WHY A CATAMARAN
The Right Boat for Caribbean Waters
Stability
Two hulls means dramatically less rolling than a monohull. Most guests who experience sea sickness on other boats have no issues on a catamaran.
Space
The wide beam and dual hulls create a large central cockpit and foredeck. There is room for everyone to spread out, sunbathe, and move around freely.
Shallow Draft
Catamarans sit high in the water and can access shallow anchorages like Pinel Island and the northern beaches of Tintamarre that deeper-keel yachts cannot reach.
Best for Groups
Up to 12 guests on the Sunreef 60. Multiple shaded areas, multiple entry points into the water, and enough deck space that nobody feels crowded.
Our Catamarans
Sunreef 60
$2,800 / day
60 ft — up to 12 guests — 4 cabins
The flagship of our catamaran fleet. The Sunreef 60 has the widest beam in our lineup, making it exceptionally stable in the Caribbean chop. Four private cabins and a full saloon make it suitable for overnight anchoring. The aft deck is large enough for the whole group to snorkel off the back.
Best for: Large groups, Anguilla trips, overnight anchoring
Lagoon 42
$900 / half day
$1,800 / full day
42 ft — up to 8 guests — 3 cabins
Our most versatile catamaran. The shallow 3.5-ft draft lets us reach anchorages that monohulls cannot — particularly useful for Pinel Island and the shallow reefs around Tintamarre. The large cockpit seats everyone comfortably for lunch.
Best for: Pinel Island, snorkeling, mixed groups
Catamaran Charter Questions
How many people can a catamaran hold in Sint Maarten?
Our Lagoon 42 holds up to 8 guests. The Sunreef 60 holds up to 12 guests. For larger groups we can arrange two boats departing together.
Is a catamaran good for guests who get sea sick?
Yes. The wide beam of a catamaran dramatically reduces rolling motion compared to a monohull. Most guests who have experienced seasickness on other boats find catamarans much more comfortable.
Can I charter a catamaran to Anguilla from Sint Maarten?
Yes. Both our catamarans are cleared for the Anguilla crossing. The Sunreef 60 is the most popular choice for Anguilla day trips. The crossing takes approximately 30 minutes from Simpson Bay.
What is the difference between the Lagoon 42 and Sunreef 60?
Size and price. The Lagoon 42 is better value for smaller groups (up to 8) and has an even shallower draft for reef access. The Sunreef 60 is larger, newer, has air conditioning, and carries more people. Both are equally well-maintained.
